Did He Die?

So what happened? Where have I been? Did I experience some tragic end, or some other horrific event? No, not really. To be honest, no significant event happened. I have a beard now; grew out my hair, cut it all off; rescued a cat, lost said cat; Went to Israel—twice; I earned a license for massage therapy; and, I really got into tabletop role-playing games. I’ve been busy; quite simply, I just didn’t make writing these blogs that very high of a priority. That said, in an ever pursued effort of self-improvement, I’m dusting off the old blog and heading right into it with some fresh enthusiasm!

That said, writing hasn’t completely fallen by the wayside since I last entered something onto this web-covered website. I attend Paradise Calvary Chapel, in Las Vegas, Nevada (in case you got it confused with the other Las Vegas). For over a year now, we’ve been working on a daily devotional—the kind you read once a day for a year. The devotions have been written by members of the church—a few have even been by me—and the proceeds for the books go to the church’s building fund. So, what I’ve been doing, for over a year, is assist with compiling, writing, and editing these devotions. It’s been fantastic, and I’m very proud of the results. If you want to help with the church, you can find them on Amazon (I’ll include a link at the end).

So, that’s where I’ve been, but where am I going? Well, I am finishing the devotion project soon, and my soul yearns to get back to the writing that I know and love. The break has been helpful, but I am eagerly looking forward to a change of routine. That said, I’ve got a lot of things rattling around my brain pan to share in these blogs—including quite a few shenanigans that my friends have put me through running tabletop roleplaying games.

Well, that’s it! You are now brought up to date—well, for the most part. Stay tuned for my next blog, where I ramble on about some inconsequential topic that I’ll force you to put up with. Until then, it’s good to be back and I look forward to what’s coming!
